Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 7/28/2026

At Graspr, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Graspr Chrome Extension ("Extension") and our website ("Website").

1. Information We Collect

Website Data: When you join our waitlist on the Website, we collect your email address, name, and any optional notes you provide.

Extension Data: The Graspr Extension is designed to be local-first and privacy-preserving. We do notcollect, log, or store your browsing history on our servers. When you actively open the Graspr sidebar on a webpage, the Extension processes the current page's URL and content to fetch relevant discussions and context.

2. How We Use Your Information

- Content Retrieval: To provide you with collective knowledge, the Extension securely processes the current URL or search query to retrieve relevant discussions from various community platforms and search providers. This data is used solely to fulfill your request in real-time.

- Local Storage: Machine learning embeddings (used for ranking content) and user preferences are stored locally on your device within your browser. This data never leaves your device.

- Waitlist Communications: Email addresses collected via the waitlist are used exclusively to notify you about product updates and beta access. We use Formspree to process these submissions securely.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your data is never used for determining creditworthiness or for unrelated purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

The Extension interacts with external services to fetch content. These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle requests. By using Graspr, you acknowledge that search queries and URLs may be processed securely to return relevant results.

5. Your Choices

Since the Extension operates entirely within your browser, you have full control over your data. You can clear local storage or uninstall the Extension at any time to remove all locally stored embeddings and settings.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy.
